Scotland's results in Thursday's yes or no independence referendum could make an impact on
the UK. If Scotland was to claim independence what would it mean for both countries? According to the Panorama documentary it states many Scottish feel the Conservative government has shaken the British establishment to its roots. The pivotal reason for Scottish desire to separate from the UK, emerged when Margaret Thatcher became prime minister in the late 1970s. They feel the conservative government destroyed the manufacturing and industrial sector during the 1980s which ruined working class people. This created a depressing mood within the Scottish nation. However, some feel oil is the root for independence and some feel it is Alex Salmond and the SNP government. In addition to this, the yes campaigners believe that in gaining independence from England they will have their own laws, the protection of their education and health care system. They fear this could be privatised as now in the UK. In their opinion this might be ruined under the conservative government. Also, there have been reports that Scotland would be a richer nation if they separate. On the other hand, the no campaigners say there is no evidence that they would be better off. Many also feel jobs would be lost and they won't be able to keep the same currency.
The Panorama documentary and the yes campaigners show the UK in a bad way. Panorama was a biased documentary was been with the reporter's language drawing various emphasis on the conservative government of the reason of Scottish desire to go independence. The yes campaigner video showing scotland in a depressing mood playing depressing music and imagery to support this, it also shows contrast with happy and sad showing children running and laughing and using a young presenter as in showing a gaining independence from the UK would make scotland a better place for young people and a brighter future for young people. It also uses persuasive languages and imagery to draw viewers attention and using rhetorical question with the presenter repetitive language. Showing a flowers with the presenter having a flowers in her hands represent growth and the colour green signifies prosperity. on the other hand the no campaigner article saying the they would be worst off with the languages used.
This picture of someone wearing a shoe and someone putting show is illustrating that of growth, with the language used, highlighting the word Yes is capital letter to draw the reader attention.

This picture with coins stack up stating that scotland is richer than the United kingdom as a whole.
I think they should remain apart of the united kingdom they are better together as they are no solid evidence that they would be better off. I think the result might go no. If yes is voted is I think they would loose jobs and currency of the pound.
